strobes to go off with alarm?

hey guys.. i have a set of strobes and i'm trying to have them go off when the alarm goes off.. does anyone know how to tap to the power? i tried splicing part of the wire from the parking light output wire but with no luck.. then tried to attach it where the alarm was attached by a quick-disconnect splice (i didn't install it)

in case anyone is interested the alarm is a RRAL500 from micro alarm.. so anyone with any ideas? i've been at it for like 2 hours now -__-

ok, never mind, i sandwiched it inside the quick disconnect and its working now, it's interesting having light go off in the grill.
