Kinda. I don't like photographing people, so I resorted to photographing things that don't talk for this assignment.

The first one caught my eye, it's a nice color combination and pattern.
The Puma shoe didn't do much for me, I would have liked to get more of that soft feeling for the texture on the shoe; it gets blurry on the right. I do like the texture on the heel, though.

I especially like the lighting for the last two photos. I'm still trying to figure out how you got the lighting that way for the Blackberry picture :p
The purple and green shadow is confusing me lol.

Yeah, I didn't notice the blurriness on the shoe until after I had finished and uploaded the shots. I'll have to try re-doing that shot. :hs:

For the last two, I experimented with lighting a bit. I had actually placed a pink post-it in front of the flash to diffuse the light and give the shot a bit of a magenta tint. For the Blackberry shot, I had two lights directed at the subject at close range, so the white lights overpowered the magenta flash. Thus, the foreground is fairly devoid of the purple light, while the background (a large piece of white posterboard) is tinted purple.

The two bowls I set further away from the light sources so that the flash would tint the entire shot purple.

I never use a direct flash.

Hi Zack. Been looking through your posts :) You in school for photography? I like you color/lighting tests :) If that's what they were ;) It's nice to discover with a camera. I sort of have been missing this feeling since I started school. Not feeling the creative flow.

I would however call these more "product" photos not "fashion".

PS: Sorry ahead of time if I sound like I am lecturing or what ever. Not my intent. I am not the type to talk tech. I don't know everything. Still a beginner in many ways :)

Aye, they are product shots... although they were done for a "fashion" assignment for a photo class here at school. We had to emulate the styles of a few fashion photographers. I think I chose Rick Burda and a few others that used objects instead of people.
