I haven't been around the Scion community for long enough to have seen you start that project, but I'm pretty sure I know where you got the original item from. Good idea, and a cheap mod, too. :tu: Can't wait to see them installed.

ok here are a few shots of what also happened. i will say if you do this be very careful on the passenger side you have some wires there and a wash tank.

i'll be painting the bolt heads black to blend them more as well. just took these really quick. will turn the wheels little bit and get some more shots if you need them.

well i had found the arc vents they were like $49 each might i add. not a set but each. so i went got a regular louver vent from a hardware store measured cut it used some ruteolleum(sp) paint. drilled some holes and cut some of the inner fender liner. took out the fog light kick outs and made those have actual mesh still looks stock so you would never know they line up perferfect with the vents. so yeah it does help to cool the brakes.

might i also add that the new toyota tundra has these from factory i noticed them when looking at the 5.7l v8 model.

i'm still on all stock brakes. its more for a cooling effect and aerodynamics. small changes aren't always felt.

It may take me a while to do this myself. I think I killed my dremel cutting the bolts for my shifter. :mad:

no gotta another idea for the cutouts but we will see if I can actually find the right materials to do it..... but the vents are gonna defiatly be done...

Have you noticed an increase in windnoise through the car or any other effects not expected from this mod?

nope all i hear is the usually loud music i play and if i mute that i have the blitz and trd exhaust to hear still.
